A 50 thousand hits later, sparring session

"Thanks for giving me the opportunity," smiled Tri-blade as he dropped into battle stance. "Don't hold back."

With a heavy chuckle, the grizzled man replied, "We'll see."

He raised his jewel-tipped staff quickly and swung. The arc was stopped by Tri-blade's dagger, inches away from the Realm Defender's head.

A sweep kick came next, but was dodged without any issue. Tri-blade seized the opportunity and struck with his other arm. The fist connected, sending the white-bearded man tumbling backwards.

The two veterans continued their sparring, only the sounds of grunting interrupting the fluid motion of attacks and parries. With both men well-protected by their suits, there was little chance of serious injury to the competitors.

A few minutes later, Tri-blade wiped sweat from his forehead. His opponent appeared to be breathing heavily.

"Let's bring it home, Mr. Director..."

[BATTLE!]

Tri-blade reached down and helped Nova to his feet.

"You still held back."

"Perhaps so, but I am old," came the response.

"So am I," sighed Tri-blade, still smiling. "Nice battle, though."

A robot emerged from the side and handed Tri-blade an envelope. It was opened and its contents pulled out.



"Awesome," said Tri-blade.

OOC: Because why *shouldn't* Nova be seen sparring? I don't think it really fits his character to be involved in everyday battles, even friendly ones. I see him more likely to be training in private with BADGE robots or doing yoga and meditation. On the flip side, this reminds me of SHC days where people would RP and include battle links within the story. Anyway, may everybody reach their personal milestones and happy battling.

Congrats and I agree. Director Nova would be an excellent personal trainer. Thanks for the story.
