Hero Highlights - Fleagle

I have the pleasure today of speaking with a member of a truly select
group. They were highly decorated in the recent League Wars that we
all enjoyed viewing.

K: Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero
designation/code name?

F: grrr woof woof....*cough*... sorry. I was born Jim Sadler, But I go
by the designation of Fleagle nowadays.

K: Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?  

F: Currently I work for the U.S Government at Area 51, though we do
work closely with B.A.D.G.E. Where do think all the tech came from?  

K: Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?  

F: As mentioned, I work at Area 5¹...  We are essentially Earth’s
last line of defense against an alien threat. We also destroyed
division 3 of LW1 in the BADGE training event.  

K: Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

F: I'm far from being fully morphon powered.  I'd guess I'm around 30%
at the moment... most of my Power comes from my two souls, my
original Human one and my Dog one.  

K: Do you have a sidekick?

F: I am both a hero and my own sidekick.  

K: Could you tell us a little about your origin?  

F: When my dog, Bashment, passed away a year ago, his soul melded with
my own and I became Fleagle, half-man, half-dog... sounds great,
huh... try walking yourself every day.  

K: What is your favorite piece of gear?  Why?  

F: I guess my Cybernetic Knuckles are my favorite. 20 stun, 20% strike,
20 resist element and extremely limited edition (LW winners only)

K: Do you have any advice for new Heroes?

F: Get a selection of cores to cover all your bases... the resist X
core bonus is invaluable.

K: Is there anything else you'd care to add?

F: I'd just like to apologize to everyone at HQ...
 
I got over-excited and started weeing on a plant when everyone started
shouting and chasing me I just started running around.  I thought it
was a game, HQ was a mess, there was wee everywhere. So sorry
everyone, especially you, Nova

Hero Highlights- Gargoyle "Gar"

Today we are privileged to speak with a truly unique hero... not only does his origin predate the Morphon influx caused by the invasion, but he has become Director Nova’s ‘right hand’... errr... ‘man’.

K: Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

G: I am Gargoyle, that is what my father called me. Dr. Shepard called me Gar. I have no other name.

K: Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

G: After Kravik killed my second father, Director Nova became my friend and has helped me to find a new purpose. I work with him to protect this planet from the Legion and other threats.

K: Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

G: I have not joined a league, I prefer to work directly for Director Nova.

K:  Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

G: I don’t have what you humans call powers. I am living stone. I am strong, can fly, do not need to eat or drink, need little sleep, and very little can harm me.

K: Do you have a sidekick?

G: No. I work as a sidekick most days for Director Nova, but mostly I work alone.

K: Could you tell us a little about your origin?

G: I was originally created as a stone statue a long time ago, and then my first father gave me his life so that I may live. The morphon particles awoke me to life when the Legion came to Earth.

K: What is your favorite piece of gear?  Why?

G: I don’t often use gear. I don’t even like wearing clothes, they make no sense to me still. Director Nova gave me a special item from BADGE storage called the Elder Tome. Since I am made “from magic”, he thought I could make use of it.  I still am trying to understand it, but it does make me feel stronger in battle.

K: Do you have any advice for new Heroes?

G: Be kind. I have seen the deepest ways evil works and I do not like when two heroes argue and fight over stupid little things. We have the same enemy, why fight dumb battles over opinions?

K: Is there anything else you'd care to add?

G: I want to apologize to the Leagues who participated in League Wars. I was invited to the after-party and the organizer said it was casual wear. I did not know what that meant, so I asked. He said I should dress comfortably. All clothing is uncomfortable, so I went without. Some objected. I don’t understand why. But, they made me wear something. I didn’t mean to upset anyone.

Hero Highlights - Strange Quark: "Embrace Your Inner Weirdness"

Today, we venture where few heroes would dare to tread...
Coming to you from Schrodinger's famous cat-box, we're here to meet with a truly unique hero...

K: Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

SQ: Strange Quark is my name in the universe, but I am also known as Chih Chan or Quacky Quark or Strange Quack in the multiverses.

K: Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

SQ: Mostly independent, but I do assist B.A.D.G.E. whenever they have weird problems to do with converging dimensions or inter-universal travel.

K: Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

SQ: I am an Avenger, although I sometimes base myself in an independent league just so I don't drive them nuts with my strangeness. One of my other leagues is The Fowl Players where we train avian-related heroes to embrace their inner weirdness.

K: Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

SQ: My original power is not Morphon-based. It is the ability to draw upon the interconnectedness of all matter (particles) in existence and manipulate them in various ways. That includes the ability to bend the space-time continuum. Morphon particles in this world were responsible for collapsing the probability wave function which led to my emergence out of Schrödinger's Cat-box. That is how I ended up here.

K: Do you have a sidekick?

SQ: I don't like to kick stuff by my side. If you mean apprentices, strange ducks have been known to follow me wherever I go... and there's the cat I see from time to time.

K: Could you tell us a little about your origin?

SQ: I came into existence from the collapse of a highly improbable wave function at some indeterminate point in time. Indeterminate because time is a function of space and matter, so there is no straight arrow of time's progress. For all I know, all matter in the multiverses is made up of a solitary strange(?) quark bouncing backward and forward in time.

K: What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

SQ: I don't have a favorite piece of gear, although I like anything that boosts agility as that makes it easier to phase even when my sanity level is low owing to excessive sobriety. I lack most mental gear, which probably explains my psychological state.

K: Do you have any advice for new Heroes?

SQ: Be yourself. Do not be afraid to embrace your Inner Weirdness.

K: Is there anything else you'd care to add?

SQ: I do not post much about game-play or strategy in the public forum but anyone is welcome to contact me if they need assistance embracing their inner strangeness or just want tips on building up their hero.

Hero Highlights- ♦️☠Fuma Hanzo☠♦️

Only someone truly fearless, such as myself, would dare brace certain denizens of our fair city for an interview.  

Today, while feeling somewhat uneasy about it, I made the decision that I would risk my life for one such interview... and I was glad I did...  

K:   Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

FH: My name is Fuma Hanzo.

K:  Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

FH: I work for Hydra.

K:  Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

FH: I am in Avengers. They are an Olympus class team. While there are a few Olympus class heroes not in Avengers, the majority of Olympus class players are in Avengers.

K:  Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

FH: None of my powers are morphon-based.

I actually come from another planet and landed in Feudal Japan centuries ago. Shapeshifting is a natural trait of my species. My mastery of this trait allows me to heal with just a thought.

When I was still in the womb, my father sent my pregnant mother to Earth through a wormhole. The trip induced premature labor and she died on the way while giving birth to me.

The unique forces at work in the wormhole mutated my already malleable DNA and gave me super speed and the ability to teleport.

K: Do you have a sidekick?

FH: Yes. And a roundhouse. Inside and outside crescent kicks. You name it. I have pretty much every kick in my arsenal.

K: No, I meant...nevermind...

K:  Could you tell us a little about your origin?

FH: The Zigonians had manufactured a civil war in my father's kingdom. During the war, he sent my pregnant mother to Earth where she could give birth to me in safety. She did not survive and I was born prematurely.

Later, after the war was over, my father sent for me and I returned home. Many years later, the Zigonians attacked directly during my wedding ceremony. The devastation was both quick and unexpected. I grabbed my bride and a handful of loyal comrades and escaped back to Earth.

However, a bounty hunter followed us and caught up with us just outside Earth's solar system. I managed to act as a decoy and draw the bounty hunter away while the rest of my crew escaped. I opened a wormhole that sucked us both in and away from my bride and her ship. There was an unexpected accident though, that caused us to not only move away from my beloved's ship but also through time, resulting in our crash landing in feudal era Japan.

Many years went by as I was trapped there. During that time, I trained the poor villagers being oppressed by the samurai, and the Hanzo Ninja Clan was born. After many, many years, I was rescued from my exile in time by Hanzo Ninja Clan members from the future, using schematics for a time machine that originated with Spitz, the Gallifreyan.

K:  What is your favorite piece of gear?  Why?

FH: My favorite piece of gear is the magic crystal core because it has stun resist and frees up my need to use two Kang Shen, allowing me more headgear options.

K:  Do you have any advice for new Heroes?

FH: My advice for new heroes is to not be a slave to their ego. Sure, winning is fun. But having fun is winning. So don't put too much pressure on yourself. Find your lane and enjoy it. Not everyone can be the best, but we can all still have fun. Don't take it too seriously.

K:  Is there anything else you'd care to add?

FH: Hail Hydra!!!!

Hero Highlights- Miðgarðsormr

If my interview with the formidable Hanzo could be considered foolhardy, then this month’s interview, for anyone else, might be considered suicidal.

Frankly, even I might not have attempted it if, in another realm, I had not met and to the extent possible, befriended, the avatar of this force of nature. While his avatars seem to inhabit most dimensions, I met him in the dimension I was born in.

While I never approached his level of power, we were, for a time, league-mates, and I would like to think, friends (at least to the extent possible for such a being... probably more like a pet in his reckoning...)
 
I was happy to finally locate his avatar in this dimension and even happier that he agreed to our interview.

M: I AM THE ONE KNOWN ASSSSSS Miðgarðsormr IN THE OLD NORSSSE, MEANSSS MIDGARD SSSSSERPENT OR WORLD SSSSSERPENT.

K: Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

M: THAT MAKESSS ME, IN THISSS COMPUTER AGE, TO... HOW DO YOU SSSSSAY... LMCO LAUGH MY CLOACA OFF.

K: Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

M: YESSS I AM IN A LEAGUE... ACTUALLY MANY LEAGUESSSS... THISSS ONESSSS DESSSIGNATION ISSS 666, REMEMBERING AN OLD WORLD I DEVOURED, THERE WASSSSS A 666 THERE TOO, A CLANDESSSTINE AFFILIATE OF THE HAWAIIAN WARRIORSSS I HAVE ALSSSO BEEN AN ANGEL, AN AEGEAN, A TURBO, AND THE CREATIONSSS BANE.

M: IMMENSSSE POWER, AGILITY, RECOVERY, INSSSATIABLE HUNGER...  I AM NEVER DESSSTROYED...  I HAVE BEEN SSSINCE THE BEGINNING... THE POWERSSS ALL COME FROM THE DISSSAMBIGUATION, THE BEGINNING OF ALL WHEN THE ONE WASSS DIVIDED INTO THREE... KNOWN ASSS GOOD, EVIL, AND MYSSSELF... M: MINOR ONESSSSS, THAT BRING ABOUT ANNIHILATION, RAGNAROK, ARMAGEDDON,  BLACK HOLESSSSS,  ETC, ETC...

K: Could you tell us a little about your origin?

M: IT WASSS AFTER THE DISSSAMBIGUATION OR THE BIG BANG... THERE ARE OTHER MYTHOLOGICAL, NONSENSSSICAL, SSSTORIESSS, SSSUCH AS BEING THE SSSON OF A GOD AND GIANTESSS... BAH, WHAT IGNORANCE OF MY TRUE MAGNIFICENCE.

K: What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

M: MY SSSCALESSSS, MY VENOM, AND MY HYPNOTIC GAZE...

K: Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?

M: NEVER CROSSSS THE WORLD SSSSERPENT...

Hero Highlights- Timebender

Hello Heros, it’s that time again... and time is definitely on our subjects side...

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

T:  My current hero designation is probably best, there are villains who might read this. I am known as Timebender.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

T:  I have worked with B.A.D.G.E. nearly from the start.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

T:  I am in 5th Precinct: Galactic. We are a police-affiliated organization that deals with problems of a larger scale. We are affiliated with many related groups with less developed abilities.

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

T:  My powers allow me control over space and time, they appear to be morphon-based. I can speed my progress through time to achieve super-speed, bend space to reduce or redirect gravity...or teleport. I can create doubles of myself that are images, are parts of myself from the past or future, or are analogs of myself from other universes. I can bring energies from elsewhere or divert energies to elsewhere. I can even re-run sections of time...though not easily change what has already happened.

Do you have a sidekick?

T:  Not yet, it is hard finding someone who can keep up with me.

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

T:  I was one of the earliest humans exposed to the morphons, it took me a while to realize the extent of my powers.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

T:  Probably the Seed of Potential, it is what first taught me how to access my analogs.

Do you have any advice for new Heroes?

T:  Make friends, they are how you succeed against big trouble.

Is there anything else you'd care to add?

T:   Morphons may grant you power, but what makes you a hero is inside.

Hero Highlights- Starmaster

It’s that time again, my friends...
 
This time we will be meeting another of B.A.D.G.E.s newer recruits.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

SM:  Ah, hmmm, you can call me Starmaster. I'm not ready to give out my real name -- yet.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

SM:  I have been working independently so far. Not that I would mind teaming up, but I haven't been approached by anyone yet. I'm still sort of new to all of this superhero stuff.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

SM:  I  put feelers out to join a league when I first got my costume. I wanted to build a group of heroes for a Star Force group. You know, all people with stars on their costumes or "star" in their names.  

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon based?

SM:  My powers? Well, I can move things with my mind, teleport from place to place, and sort of reading people's surface thoughts.

Finding out about that power was a real trip, man. Sitting in a lecture hall and hearing all the thoughts from a group of my peers...WOW...There are some pretty freaky people out there and I hope they never get powers.

As for mine, I have also become fairly technically adept since I got my abilities. I have been able to enhance my powers to do more. It's kinda cool.  

Do you have a sidekick?

SM:  No. Is sidekick even PC to say anymore?  

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

SM:  I was attending college and out at a kegger with my roommate one night and that has to be when it happened. The next morning I woke up under my blanket and floating above my mattress. He was huddled off in a corner,  his bare-ass naked body covered in ash. Nobody warned us about that happening in any of the college orientation seminars.  

What is your favorite piece of gear?  Why?

SM:  I like the Technocrat gear. It allows the other pieces of gear I use to enhance my abilities to work well together.  

Do you have any advice for new Heroes?

SM:  Yeah. Always carry an extra pair of pants.  

Is there anything else you'd care to add?

SM:  I may be new to the superhero game, but villains, watch out. I've got powers and I plan on using then to protect the innocent, defend the weak, and all that jazz.

Hero Highlights- Cadaverdog

I thought that this time, we might meet one of the newer heroes that B.A.D.G.E. has recently been fortunate enough to recruit.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

C:  I am The Cadaverdog-the travel master extraordinaire. I can teleport to anyone I choose to seek with but a thought.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

C:  I occasionally do team-ups and can definitely be a team player but I'm highly independent most frequently.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

C:  I am with the ☠Red☠Guard☠-a collection of diversely talented individuals working towards guarding humanity itself.

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

C:  I have a collection of abilities, primarily divine gifts.    Such include teleportation to anywhere I can imagine within my mind (to anyone or any place) with total control over it. I initially appear transparent and invisible but can allow myself to be heard. I then have around 2 minutes to choose where I want to reappear or choose to teleport away.

I can speak, understand, read, write, etc in any and every language-including binary, medical terms, body language, and any and every animal or foreign being living or extinct.

I can adapt to any area to which I teleport, whether it may be space, the sun, underwater, etc.

I also have a high degree of healing factor to avoid pretty much any lasting injury and disregard poisons or illness-thus a travel master extraordinaire with the freedom to go anywhere with total comfort and bring to justice anyone no matter how well they try to hide.

Do you have a sidekick?

C:  Any animals I call upon to assist in a mission or a possible team-up, yet team-ups and even animal collaboration are more like a partnership.

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

C:  I, along with a few others who may remain nameless, was divinely gifted to assist ones of need and bring to justice individuals who are especially difficult to apprehend.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

C:  Currently anything involving skulls (my favorite subject in college was anatomy and physiology), but I do love my animal friends and perhaps at some point, something of that nature may strike my mind, whether something of Grizzly nature or of Bald Eagle inspiration.

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?

C:  Try to be patient as you develop and don't be afraid to be different from others and use sound tactical strategy in your development.

Is there anything else you'd care to add?

C:  I, along with my fellow comrades, look forward to continuously growing and bringing all the bad guys to justice. No one can hide.

Time again, my friends, to meet one of our Heroes...  

This week, we will be speaking with a real prince... no, really... he’s a prince, in his home dimension.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

PN: In Azeroth, my loyal subjects address me as Prince Nezzius Sunstrider of Quel'Thalas. However, for commoners in other worlds or dimensions, you may call me "Nezz". It won't displease me.  

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

PN: I prefer to work alone but if the need arises in the event of an apocalypse or some astronomical phenomenon that seems dire to the extinction of all sentient life, I may be called upon to lend my abilities.  

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?  

PN: I'm with the Psycho Squad, under the 5th Precinct. A huge intergalactic group of heroes, tasked with finding mischief and trouble in any place or universe.  

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?  

PN: No,  I'm magical. At a young age, my gift of magic was discovered, and shortly later, I was sent to Dalaran to study into the arts of magic.  There, under the guidance and tutelage of one of the greatest Archmages ever, I became one of the most powerful mages in all of Azeroth. Or maybe the multiverse.  

Do you have a sidekick?  

PN: I’d rather not have one. I’d rather have a pet slave to do my bidding.  

Could you tell us a little about your origin?  

PN: I'm the second son of the late Anasterian Sunstrider, former king of Quel'Thalas, and brother to Prince Kael'thas, the current king of Quel’Thalas.  

What is your favorite piece of gear?  Why?  

PN: My pendant. It is actually the Focusing Iris, an ancient artifact of immense arcane power. It was enspelled and transformed into a miniature size, small enough to be worn around my regal neck.  

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?  

PN: Magic isn’t for the faint of heart, never interfere when a mage is at work or there will be devastating consequences.  

Is there anything else you'd care to add?  

PN: For the Horde and for Azeroth!

Hero Highlights- Rapscallion

This week, my friends, we’re meeting with another of B.A.D.G.E.’s relatively new recruits.  ... all I can say is that he seems to be a very busy fellow.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

R:  ...I'd best just stick with Rapscallion.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

R:  I've been OK with helping B.A.D.G.E out when they call...but, know what? I wound up where I am because I can't abide by so many 'rules'...  

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

R:  I'm with Psycho Squad: Injustice League... Hey. They can say what they want about us. Most of us are decent folks...just don't necessarily like rules and regs.  

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?  

R:  Yeah, they are M-based, as we say.  These wings may be a bit off-putting but MAN I get around! My strength is amazing, if I say so myself... and, even though it's got a soft feel, my skin's bulletproof. I heal quickly, and my mind... I cannot keep up!

As we sat working our way thru the interview, the communicator buzzed and our hero answered... "Sorry, but that was an alert... We'll have to finish later..." As the hero known as Rapscallion hurried from the room, I waited for my own communicator to buzz...

We were able to resume the interview the next day...

Do you have a sidekick?

R:  SideWHAT? No, man, soloiste! I mean...I do talk to my league-mates. But, missions, I drink alone, if you know what I mean.  

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

R:  No real amazement, really....went to work as a meat guy at a supermarket during the COVID thing. I was careful, too. But, turns out, it wasn't the COVID I shoulda been looking for. I mean, this is cool, but it cost me my marriage... friends...  

What is your favorite piece of gear?  Why?

R:  I have always been really good at hitting people. So, ANYthing I can club, batter, or bludgeon someone with is good. LOVE the up-close work.  

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?  

R:  Yeah. Be true to yourself. Screw a rule or 2, if you're still getting the result you want.  

Is there anything else you'd care to add?  

R:  Yeah. Just wanna ask the others out there who have wings. HOW do you keep these MORONS from tryin' to BITE 'em?

D:  DRIFT - Dedicated Relentless Independent Furious Tactician

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

D:  Independent/Mercenary

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

D:  I’m sort of a Drifter... drifting from one crew to another.

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon based?

D:  My Powers are natural, acquired through utilizing my subconscious.

Do you have a sidekick?

D:  I have none, nor are any necessary

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

D:  Primarily, my training comes from Military Assistance Command-Special Operations Group Specialists... a highly classified, multi-service special operations unit which conducts covert unconventional warfare and clandestine operations.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

D:  The Mind-Bender rings (pre-nerf), an extremely effective damage device.

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?

D:  For true beginners, follow the helpful guide @

Hero Highlights- 越Ultra  Primus

Like a good many of B.A.D.G.E.’s recent recruits, today’s subject isn’t quite from around here... though he grew up with humans, he hails from another world.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

UP:  The good people of this planet have come to know me as 越Ultra ❄️Primus☀️, but you can call me Jason. This is what my human father and mother called me when I first landed on Earth.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

UP:  I have always been an independent executioner ever since I left my world. But I am obliged to provide any assistance to B.A.D.G.E when the situation calls for it.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

UP:  Yes, I am currently a member of A51 Colony. The team is made up of some talented heroes. They may be a little chaotic at times but they are morally good and get things done.

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

UP:  I have a multitude of abilities. Among them is the immense strength I possess, which is enough to stop a hurtling asteroid, resistance to injury, rapid regenerative powers, and control of the elements, most notably fire and ice.

I was born with cosmic level intelligence which I am still discovering. With this, I can create virtually any kind of power from superluminal speed to rearrangement of the molecular structure of matter, to the creation of various types of energy. I have also developed a resistance to mind control as part of my extensive abilities.

Morphons? (He smiles) They don’t create my powers but are good catalysts to them and morphons provide a generous boost to my powers.

Do you have a sidekick?

UP:  I do not have one, but fate can be a strange friend.

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

UP:  I came from another world before I came to earth. Our race was called the Paragons. We thrived as a civilization but we did not seek to conquer. We believed in peace and equality. I was the leader of an elite group that was trained to defend.

We looked very much like humans here on earth but our biology was somewhat different. Every Paragon was born with a set of standard powers but only a few were gifted with additional unique powers.

I was one of these few and therefore was selected to train in the elite group. Our race was unfortunately destroyed by the Legion during the Great War. They simply overwhelmed us by sheer numbers and only I survived. I was thrown into the portal by my father, who sacrificed himself in order to prevent the extinction of our race.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

UP:  I do not tie myself to any gear or equipment. They are ever so evolving so I use any if I must. Only the talisman given to me by my biological parents remains my favorite. Even till today, I have yet to completely unravel its mystery.

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?

UP:  My advice is that no hero is perfect. All heroes are beatable. The only invincibility lies in continuous progression.

Is there anything else you'd care to add?

UP:  Do not fear if you are confused because within confusion lies opportunity.

Hero Highlights- Azure Archangel

Our subject this time is not born of this world, in fact, he wasn’t born at all.
He was created by Divine will.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

AA:  Azure Archangel is my title, my true name in Angelic  Tongue is impossible for a mortal to utter.  Besides, to give something its true name is to bind its power, and that I can not allow.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

AA:  After I fell to Earth, having been ambushed by Legion soldiers, I was found by a B.A.D.G.E  representative, wandering without my memory.

They recruited me. They are helping me to regain my memory.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

AA:  I am with Redguard and I am a founding member. We are always pushing our limits through battle.

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

AA:  Some of my powers are natural for my kind that I retained after becoming human.   Most of my new powers do seem to be Morphon-based, or at least Morphon enhanced.

Do you have a sidekick?

AA:   I have found no need for a sidekick.  I have my League brothers and sisters that I work with closely. But I am mostly independent, and work alone as a B.A.D.G.E. operative.

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

AA:  My existence began as an Angel from the Heavenly realm. I was tasked to assess the Threat of Legion to Earth by my commander, Michael. I got caught and was gravely injured and fell to Earth, losing most of my angelic powers and became mortal, and I had amnesia from the ordeal.

What is your favorite piece of gear?  Why?

AA:  My favorite piece of gear is The Infernal Bracers that were found in the crater along with me. I apparently had dispatched a Legion soldier and had taken them as a trophy.

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?

AA:  My advice is to train hard and push your power limits to new levels. Training never ends.

AA:  In parting, I leave this warning. Evil beware, for I am watching!

Hero Highlights- **Special 3-way Interview**

Today, due to the recent unpleasantness, we ran short on time for separate interviews and we have three members of the Colony 51 league here, so we’ll save time and interview all three together.

Hello gentlemen...  Can you tell us your names, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code names?

(The 3 glance at each other and shrug, then the eldest speaks, followed by the twin Shinobi brothers)

DB: You can use my code name Donald Blake MD…. the old me is no more.  I am remade.

GR & G: We are Shinobi; you may use my designation, Gamma Ray (Glacier finishes Gamma Ray’s answer)...and you may refer to me, as Glacier.  

Are you each working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

DB: I work both independently and with B.A.D.G.E.  With all that is happening with this Legion attacking. They have need of my highly analytical scientific experience and healing skills and my fighting skills are not bad either.

GB & G (in unison): We are independent but have fulfilled many contracts for B.A.D.G.E.
 (still in unison, Glacier and Gamma Ray laugh quickly play Pinchipōku anata wa watashi ni kōra o karite iru. What we call here, Pinch- Poke -you owe me a Coke)    

You three are currently in Colony 51, would you care to tell us about it?

(The brothers start to answer at the same time, but DB clears his throat loudly.)

DB: Yes, We reside with The Colony 51 , a special unit created at a top-secret base and that’s all we can say about that, other than that our league has a great deal of skill and are a tough bunch.
(The brothers briskly bow their heads in confirmation.)

Can each of you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

DB: I was born a mutant with the power to heal and had an inherent knowledge of the sciences. Those powers are ever-increasing as morphons continue to rain down.  

For instance, I grew wings and can fly at nearly light speed, good thing they are retractable. My shirt budget was out of hand until I learned how they worked.

I am also nearly invulnerable and can’t really be easily hurt, but my best power is that I can absorb any and all power used by others and make them my own.  

GR: As Shinobi, I have trained since a child in the martial arts and have mastered all styles and weapons. I use stealthy infiltration tactics, sabotage, deception and forgery, and occasionally assassination.   I take opponents by surprise, but my strongest power given me by the morphons is the ability to harness radiation and strike my opponent down with radioactive lightning bolts.

G:  I also am Shinobi. I too have trained from an early age, alongside of my brother, in the martial arts and have mastered all styles and weapons as well. The morphons granted me power over water and lightning. I can absorb water molecules and electrical charges from the air and use them to freeze any object or to fry it or both.  I can throw frozen lightning bolts that can flash freeze any opponent and make them explode with the electrical component of the bolt.  

Do any of you have a sidekick?

DB: I have a pet cockatoo, does that count?

(Gamma answers) Yes, but my flying roundhouse kick is better!  

(Glacier retorted) Yes, but my flash kick is way cooler.  

(The twin brothers glare at each other for a moment, then grin and laugh rather loudly)

GR & G (in unison): HA HA HA, Ninja humor!  

Could you each tell us a little about your origin?

DB: The old me is no more.
I was an old mutant before the morphons fell, I worked as a civil servant, in the medical service, as a doctor but as I absorbed the morphon particles, my old body regressed to a youthful state and I have not aged since.

GR & G (in unison, as if practiced this way): Yes, very little for your safety, but we can say, it is very close to the Iga region of Japan.  

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

DB: I don’t have one favorite piece of gear, but find those pieces that increase damage, or resist a foe's power, very helpful.

GR:  The spiked rings have always served me well and allow me to inflict much damage.

G:  I’m kind of fond of the Heart of Ice core for the 2X damage and well,  it’s wicked cold.

Do any of you have any advice for new Heroes?

DB: Yes, Nova, the B.A.D.G.E. director, has offered many ways to get powerful. Use them all and grind, try to add a power each day. Do your daily quests and missions. That's the best place to start.

GR: Train hard and you will be rewarded. Gain your first powers by completing missions.

G:  Do not level really fast. You can out-level your power cards.

Is there anything else any of you would care to add?

DB:  Two things actually... you will not become all-powerful on the first day and powers cards are great but gear is king.

The hero we are meeting today has by training his mind and body, marshaled both into a formidable weapon, which the Morphon has further enhanced.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

D:  My name is JEIMUZU EIRAA SHIMIZU or JEI for short, but I prefer to go by my Call-sign or hero designation, DARKSABRE, from my old black-ops days

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

D:  I have been working independently but my contacts put me in touch with Director Nova, who agreed to assist me in tracking down SABRETOOTH.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

D:  I'm an ex-5th Precinct Beat Cop, however, I have  formed my own specialist team, 5th Precinct - The DarkSabres

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

D:  A combination of ancient martial arts skills passed down through my family and the Morphons enhancing my abilities and giving me new ones.  Laser Eyes, the ability to create Shadow Clones gives me stealth and a powerful attack. Super-Strength, Super Speed, Teleportation, Ability to control fire, a Healing Factor · Martial arts · Virtual Immortality are among just some of the abilities I have.  

Some I was born with, some I developed over years of grueling training developing my mind and body and others were abilities I already had but became super-enhanced by Morphon particles. Other powers I have developed since defeating enemies, But I don't want to give away all my secrets now do I :)

Do you have a sidekick?

D:  No, but I team up with my sister, DARK PHOENIX, who has similar abilities to me in the hunt for my father and tracking our mother's killer.

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

D:  A lot of my past is a mystery, but I am descended from the Shimizu clan of Ancient Japan, descended from Tsunugaarashito on my mother's side, my father's side... well that's where the plot thickens...

In Japan, I was always seen as different from my peers, the son of a GAIJIN, “White devil” or “Barbarian”.
Turns out my father was not a Japanese man but a mysterious White man, a Canadian with strange abilities. all I have belonging to him are a set of Dog Tags with the name LOGAN...

However. while training with the Iron Fist they told me that was not my father's real name...No one will really talk about him but what information I have gleaned from my masters is that he was also a formidable warrior.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

D:  Well that would be telling :)

No favorite gear, but I do think my armor and outfit are pretty cool, they are passed down from my family through many generations, with a few of my own special enhancements. also my blades or DARK SABRES which I can extend from my hands like claws!

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?

D:  Just some words of advice from one of my many sensei.

“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.”

Hero Highlights- Macaia's Daughter ◄[RD]►

Today, our subject is one of the youngest heroes I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.  Though young, she has become quite a hero in her own unique way.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

MD:  You know me as Rosa but I go by "Macaia's Daughter", in honor of my mother, who's really my whole reason for existing.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

MD:  While B.A.D.G.E. and our group have a very healthy and strong relationship, we have our own priorities and goals and I think we both have a healthy respect for that.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

MD:  Recently, our team of Realm Defenders has integrated with the 5th Precinct group of leagues, their resources and reach have been of great help.

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

MD:  I had abilities before coming to this realm and being exposed to morphons - notably mental and telekinetic powers. We're still trying to figure out the extent of any changes or enhancements from morphon exposure, as of now I just wish that it'd give me the ability to fly... I'm jealous that my mother can do it and I'm stuck as a passenger on car or plane rides.

Hmmm, maybe the morphons can make me a better driver!

(Editor's note: It's common knowledge that Rosa is, indeed, a terrible driver)

Do you have a sidekick?

MD:  No sidekick... I wouldn't mind a helper but I'm happier just being part of a team anyway.

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

MD:  I was young when my abilities manifested... my mother was missing at the time and these deadly beasts were attacking... next thing I had mentally blasted them. My godpa suggested the intense high stress had unlocked something that was always within me.

My abilities are similar to my mother's in that aspect. Since then, I trained and battled alongside my friends, through my teenage years to the present.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

MD:  Initially, the Mind Bender ring was an amazing accessory, but something weird happened and, I never found out if it was a B.A.D.G.E tech issue or something that Gamer G engineered, but they weren't as effective anymore.

I kind of like the Goth Pants now but the leather brings chafing and I hurt myself on one of the spikes the other day.  I do have my heart set on those Rune-covered boots released the other day, but they're well out of my price range. Maybe they'll release them for general purchase someday...

Do you have any advice for other new Heroes?

MD:  I'd say pay attention to the discussion from the top-rated heroes in the various meeting places. They usually give good tips for getting strong. Also, keep an eye on Chase when she pops up to announce Fight Club openings. Fight Clubs are never a bad idea, regardless of inexperience.

Is there anything else you'd care to add?

MD:  Only that it's really awesome that you had me come in for the interview, Krystal. I'm just so in awe of what you and the team have put together. If you ever want a follow-up, please let me know!

Hero Highlights- [5¹]Spyder Queen

Our subject today is quite unlike any other hero I have met... You’ll see what I mean.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

SQ: My name is Spyder Queen... no other name or title necessary.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

SQ: I work for Area 5¹. B.A.D.G.E. contracts me through them, so guess a bit independent but not? (laughing loudly)

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

SQ: I am a proud member of 5¹ ORDER 66. A pretty strong league in both power and camaraderie. We have become a well-oiled machine.

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

SQ: I have a pretty much 50/50 mix of morphon and bux based powers.

Do you have a sidekick?

SQ: No, but I have a partner. My boyfriend, Fleagle recruited me and we have been tag-teaming bad guys ever since!

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

SQ: I am from a race of spider-human hybrids found deep in the Mojave Desert. I was found and recruited by Area 51 and trained how to use my abilities. Most recently I was sent to the Sonoran Desert to be the hero presence and representative of Area 51.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

SQ: That would have to be the Mind Bender ring my honey bought me. It is not only a symbol of our love, but it is kick-ass to boot. Not to mention sooo pretty!

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?

SQ: Tons! But the biggest one is to ask questions. Talk to heroes that have been around longer than you and learn as much as you can. I treat my training as a class, I take notes and refresh my memory with them all the time because you never know when the next battle will be and we gotta stay at the top of our game always!

CG: We are the Celestial Guardian

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

CG: We ally with B.A.D.G.E. Though we side with the universe itself

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

CG: Indeed we are. GW~ Bird of Prey~Gw. We were drawn to them for a reason that has not been answered to us as of yet.

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

CG: We control all the emotional spectrums of the universe to include life and death.

Do you have a sidekick?

CG: We had a mentor once. We remember fighting by his side in another time and place before his fall.

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

CG: We came together after the last Guardian of Argus accepted the role that every century one of his people take on the mantle.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

CG: We do not have a favorite. We strive for what is best for us.

Do you have any advice for new Heroes?

CG: Always stay your course. Never waver from your cause. Find your balance.

Is there anything else you'd care to add?

CG: We stand on the edge of oblivion. One of the mystics has already fallen. What more must be done to unite all and help all understand that oblivion is so near?

Hero Highlights- Chained Angel

Unlike the majority of Angelic-based heroes in our dimension, our subject today was born human, and then became touched by the Divine...

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

CA: My full name is Angelica Braithewaite and as a cape, I go by Chained Angel, but to be honest, I simply prefer Angel most of the time.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

CA: I am always pleased to cooperate with B.A.D.G.E. whenever they need me, but most often I am focused on doing what I think needs to be done to make this world a better place.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?  

CA: I am a member of The Star Force. For League War 4, I was the active leader, as Starmaster was called out on other business. I’m proud to say we won our first Bronze during the Stellar Battle under my guidance, but I doubt I would ever take charge of the league again. I don’t like herding cats. (small chuckle)

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

CA: That’s a difficult question to answer. I have an Angel of Death, or Reaper (depending on the situation), bound to me. I have access to many of its earthly abilities, but not all of the abilities it has. I think some Morphon power I gained let me absorb the angel, but I haven’t tried to use it again. I mean, to be honest, it can be a bit crowded in my head already, if you know what I mean.

Do you have a sidekick?

CA: Yes, if you consider a literal angel constantly internally nagging at me as to what I should be doing a sidekick.

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

CA: I was attacked after work late one night by a group of men. I won’t go into full detail, but needless to say, I came out of it in a very bad way. Once they finished, they dumped me into the Detroit River to die. As I sank to the bottom, the Angel of Death appeared and tried to lead me up into a warm, white light, but I didn’t want to go. How could I give up after something like that and let those men get away with it? Something within me snapped and suddenly the angel was drawn into me and I sprouted wings on my back.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

CA: I’ve done some shopping ever since I took up the hero’s mantle and found this wonderful little item called a Harlequin Mask. It absolutely goes with absolutely everything and I think it is quite stunning.

Do you have any advice for new Heroes?

CA: There are many things out there that might try to hold you back, but the worst of them is most likely yourself.  We are often our own worst enemy. Don’t be afraid to rise up and let yourself shine, no matter what you may think everyone else could say or think. (I’m sorry. Does that sound too preachy?

<Angel closes her eyes as she concentrates internally> 
Shut it!! This is my interview! Back off, will you?  
<She opens her eyes and smiles>

CA: Just remember to be kind to one another, if you can. If you can’t, do what you have to do, even if it means kicking some villainous ass.

(Out of character Note- The player of this character has recently faced a crisis which would terrify most, if not all, of us. He has remained remarkably calm, cheerful, and as ready to take and to handout ‘whuppins’ as he ever was. He has thankfully recently received encouraging news on that front and is quite hopeful of an eventual full recovery. Now on with the interview.)

Our subject today has many sterling qualities... tolerance of wrong-doers is not, however, among them.

Can you tell us your name, or would you prefer your Hero designation/code name?

CD: My friends call me R. J... My designation is ♦~Chromatic Death~♦... You may use either. Most players know me as both anyways.

Are you working thru B.A.D.G.E. or are you independent?

CD: Still real new to the hero game so not sure what B.A.D.G.E. is. If you explain it to me then I can tell you.

Are you currently in a League, and if so, would you care to tell us about it?

CD: I am a proud member of the great group of people in the Avengers. I became a member the day I started playing from past great relationships from the old game and it took 10 seconds for me to be with my brothers again! and sister!

Can you tell us a little about your powers? Are all of your powers Morphon-based?

CD: Yes. Chromatic Death is 100% MP built from the ground up.

Do you have a sidekick?

CD: I have about 2 dozen sidekicks. I did mention the other Avengers, didn’t I?

Could you tell us a little about your origin?

CD: Chromatic Death is actually a song from the Storm Troopers of Death. His name is Sgt D, D standing for Death, first name Chromatic.

What is your favorite piece of gear? Why?

(Chromatic Death just sadly shakes his head NO)

Do you Have any advice for new Heroes?

CD: Get into a league as quickly as possible so you can be properly guided. The game has a lot of moving parts that take time to learn. Also, the right league can make the game so much more fun than it already is.

Is there anything else you'd care to add?

CD: Last statement... Cuz Sgt D is coming, and you're on his list!
