Re: Collaborative Fiction: Redd Capp's Revenge

The Sword of Gerraxia
Gerri ran over to Krystal.  This was something she had never tried.  She took Krystal's hand and placed the other on her heart.  She concentrated on the rune of healing.
"What are you doing, Gerri?" Prysmatica asked.
"Something I've never tried," Gerri started, "healing.  Krystal did so much for me.  She showed me new things about my powers and how they work.  It's time I returned the favor."  The green flames that usually surrounded Gerri when she used her powers surrounded them both.  The flames changed color around Krystal Fae as her powers mingled with it.
Krystal opened her eyes.  She was weak but better.  "That's new," she said.  "I didn't know you could do that."
"Neither did I," Gerri confirmed.  "I just had to try.  You saved James.  I couldn't let you die."
"Did your ancestor ever heal people?" Krystal asked.
"Not according to the lore," Gerri said.  "One of her companions could.  It could be because she used her sword as a conduit.  That sword was made into my ring.  She did have another companion that specialized in fire magic.  She had to bind his powers when he attempted to burn down the Soul Trees."
   "Where are we?" Krystal asked.
Prysmatica replied, "On a transport to a BADGE medical facility.  You gave us quite the scare.  I'm surprised that Gerri would try something she didn't know she could do."
"She's right, that was risky, Gerri," Krystal agreed.  "You could have made things worse."
"With the rune of healing?" Gerri chuckled.  "If it didn't work nothing would have happened at all.  My ring acts as a conduit to my power."
"Thank you, Prysmatica," Gerri began, "You talked me out of doing something wrong and saving my boyfriend.  I'm very grateful to you."

"Thank you, Gerri... I was in no immediate danger of death, though I did transfer rather more of my life-energy than I'd intended.  I would have probably been vulnerable for a couple of days, and with Morganna active, that might have been disastrous...", said Krystal.

"I really must make time to study runic magic more closely... I tend to rely too much on my own energy and mana reserves, because of their versatility and immediate effect.", she continued.

The transport landed on the helipad at BADGEs medical facilities and James was rushed into the building for testing and treatment.

Gerri looked at Krystal, and at her nod, rushed into the building mere steps behind the technicians.

The Sword of Gerraxia
Epilogue 1
Gerri stayed with James until the BADGE Medical center released him.  He had lost a lot of blood.  It took a few days for them to release him after they pumped more blood into his system.  Durring that time she took the Prison Crystals containing the Redd Capps to Krystal Fae's lab.  Gerri didn't want to hold onto them.
Once James was released he want to repay Prysmatica and Krystal Fae the best way he knew how, with cookies.  He didn't know what their favorites were so he sent one of each type to them he also sent Krystal Fae some Fairy Food cookies with a note telling her not to let a human eat them.  They tend to have funny but harmless effects on humans.

Epilog 2-

So the red cap(s) got their revenge on Gerri, and Gerri has removed the Redd Capp menace from Dimension H-R... for now at least.

What of Morganna? You know she didn't just slink off into the shadows, just because a couple of hench'men' were captured...

To see the further portions of Morganna's evil unfold, you might want to check out this story-

And... what exactly does happen when humans consume 'fairy food'?

"Oh Chaz, dear... would you like a cookie?" (Mwah-ha-ha... eh-hmmm... nope, just not cut out for the evil laugh bit...)

Re: Collaborative Fiction: Redd Capp's Revenge

Prysmatica
Epilogue #3

Prysmatica nibbled at a cookie as she soaked in her tub again. Her adventures with Gerri proved to be an unexpected boon. She was grateful to James for the cookies, but the real takeaway she received was being able to practice her skills and reaffirm her desire to be a doctor some day.

She did make a mental not to speak with Alan Marcus, her Star Force companion Catalyst, about Krystal Fae passing out. Something still bothered her about the event. Maybe the fact that Krystal had always seemed to be indestructible that to see her fall unconscious surprised Prysmatica. It might be wise to keep an eye on her, in any case. Especially if Morganna was trying to best her arcane adversary.

Her phone ran. She picked it up and answered it. "Hello?"

"Hey sis," her brother Ward said. "You're not thinking about getting a cat, are you?"

The Sword of Gerraxia
Epilogue 4
Krystal Fae's lab aboard the BADGE station.  A familiar hand reaches over to the prison crystals containing the Redd Capps.  "Yes, they're here.  Sending them back to you.  I'm sure you'll be able to break them free, you did it before at Purgatory Penitentiary."  With a gentle BAMF the crystals were gone.
