"FAN-FICTION CONTEST: 2024 REVIEWED: MY FAVORITE EVENT" - olympiad

 

my favorite "heroes rising" event in 2024 has got to be the olympiad.  after all, i won a gold medal in all of the events except one and in
the one that i didn't win gold (now don't hold me to this, but i believe i still may have finished in 5th place, but i'm not entirely sure as
i'm old and my memory is failing me), it was only because i completely misinterpreted exactly how the event was going to work.  i thought it was
going to be more like a real decathlon in the regular olympics in that you would participate in all 10 of the different gym types - dodgeball,
bowling, arm wrestling, billiards, push-ups, ping pong, pinball, fencing, cooking & last but not least, chess.  i didn't realize you were only
supposed to select 1 of the 10 gym types and so it turns out the one that i started with was one of the ones that i am weakest in, so i just
completely blew it.  here i thought i was going to be participating in all 10 gym types, one at a time, just like when athletes in a decathlon
participate in 10 separate events in the regular olympics in real life and not just a single gym type.  oh well, like the saying goes - "you live,
you learn".  now one of the things that really helped me during this whole olympiad event was the advent of the abilty to watch advertisements
and get rewards, namely more energy and battles, which completely removed all of the ridiculously low daily limits that are imposed within the
game and so i pretty much had an unlimited source for both energy and battles and i used it to the utmost to help me win all of the events that
i won and i can honestly say without that ability, i probably never would have been anywhere near as successful as i was during the entire event.  
all things considered, i really enjoyed the whole concept of the olympiad and the stadium with nova and e.b. sitting in the "press box" to the left,
 with a collection of the top heroes of all-time in the game sitting out in the upper deck section in centerfield, but i didn't understand what was
 the point or purpose of the seating box on the right side of the stadium opposite of the "press box which had the roman numerals "i", "ii" & "iii"
carved in the front of it, which i assumed was for a "winners' box" where the top 3 athletes to win gold, silver and bronze would be featured???  
unfortunately, nothing or nobody ever came to be featured in that section and for the life of me i have no idea why???  to me it really seemed like
 a missed opportunity that really could have spotlighted who the top 3 overall heroes were for the entire olympiad, which i would like to think that
 i could have been in the running for one of those spots???  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯  next time this event is held, i would like to see more variety of events,
such as participating in the 10 different types of gyms and instead of just a simple wooden sign with the list of winners, it would be nice to see
a winner's podium or a rewards ceremony to show the heroes standing in their respective spots for who won gold, silver & bronze in each individual  
daily event and then an overall winners' box to showcase the top 3 overall heroes across all the events at the conclusion of the event.
