Forgiving Santa (a Chase the Mythic epilogue)

Astra
Astra was star struck while attending the party on the BADGE Satellite.  She came with her adoptive mother Futurina.  They both wore blue gowns.  Astra wore one in sky blue, Futurina wore a royal blue gown.  Futurina refused to leave her blue leather bikers jacket behind though it didn't go with the gown.
Astra mingled with other heroes and even toasted Gar and Chase.  Futurina strolled over to Santa.  EB ran over and gave her a hug.  "Hiya, Futurina, I thought you retired?" EB asked.
"Hello, EB, I did.  I'm here with my adoptive daughter, Astra," she smiled and pointed to Astra.  "I need to speak with Santa.  Could you go and speak with her?"
"Sure thing, you sexy elf," EB replied as her ran over to Astra.
"Santa?" Futurina questioned as she tapped his shoulder.  He turned and smiled at her.  "I need to speak to you."
"Of course, Futurina, it has been a long time," he stated not wanting to mention what happened earlier on the battlefield where they really didn't have time to address the issue.
"After the death of my only elf friend, Gerraxia, we returned her armor to you," Futurina began.  "When the elves of Alfheim put me on trial, I specifically asked you not to intervene on my behalf, but you did.  I know it wasn't your intention to get me exiled.  I had a slim chance of not being exiled if I faced it alone, I had foreseen it.  It angered me that you would not abide my desire.  We elves tend to hold grudges a long time."
Santa nodded.  He knew she had been very angry for a very, very, long time.  She wouldn't help him and would not accept his help.  This made him sorrowful, but he did not blame her for this.  It was his mistake and he accepted that.
"I has seen what was going to happen with you, your daughter, and Krampus.  It is much the same as I would do for my daughter," she looked at Astra and smiled then looked at Chase and smiled again.  "I realize that I needed to help you as much as I could.  That..." she choked a bit, " that I needed to forgive you.  It's not easy for me to say this, but, Santa I forgive you and ask for your forgiveness for the anger I've held against you."
"Theresoelae," Santa said her real name.  "I forgave you centuries ago.  I understood I made a mistake that cost you more than I could ever give.  You were born different.  That difference made my choices and even my brothers easier as we had an example of selflessness.  I accept your apology if you accept mine."
Futurina smiled and embraced Santa.  For a moment she didn't look angry and had a genuine smile.
