Drift was fighting crime in California helping the anti-gang task force when he heard the words on his communicator “To...any...heroes who can hear...me. BADGE has been compromised….help...”  Drift knew this was Director Nova asking for help. BADGE was located in Area 51 not far away, however before leaving Drift needed to gather some supplies, he went to his local friends and asked for some More-Fun bars and Hatoraides.

Drift decided to form up some helpers, along the way he communicated to several league members about the need for help at BADGE HQ. Upon arrival he noticed 2 others league members waiting by the entrance. After the terrifying 2 mile elevator ride down, the elevator door opened, there on the floor was Director Nova seemingly unconscious.

The league tried to rush to him to help him, however The Gragglebrack From Dimension Z appeared out of somewhere and blocked their path. The 3 fought and defeated Gragglebrack, the beast opened a wormhole and retreated back to Dimension Z.

Suddenly before they could reach Director Nova a large bat appeared and was flying around them fast and furiously. The bat shape shifted in to the form of Count Dracula. Again, the 3 league members fought him together and defeated him, he vanished in a puff of smoke.

The smoke that remained from Dracula's defeat suddenly started to turn dark black and expanding. The smoke formed in to a villain named Void. Not many heroes fought him, there is not much known about this mysterious villain, his appearance is a dark spirit with intense bright red glowing evil looking eyes. The 3 knew this villain has strong magical power, they needed a different strategy to defeat him, they prepared their gear appropriately, and again together they defeated Void, while the black smoke gradually disappeared.

Before the team could get to Director Nova a scary looking Jack-O-Lantern ghostly creature appeared to rise out of Director Nova. They all tried fighting this Jack-O-Lantern, but it was to strong. The Mind Bender rings they all had just were not doing enough damage, something must have changed. They formed a new strategy. Meanwhile Director Nova was recuperating and regaining consciousness and strength, it must have been because the Jack-O-Lantern left his body. The Jack-O-Lantern did not notice Director Nova as the creature was to distracted fighting off the 3 league members. Director Nova always comes prepared with the latest gear and weapons. Nova quickly reached for his Electro-Plasmo-Disintegrato, this particular weapon only has enough energy for one shot, Nova had to make this one shot count, he took good aim and fired a shot, ZAP a bright orange ray of energy directly hit the Jack-O-Lantern exploding in to a blaze of fire, giving off an evil laugh and vanishing into the darkness. The Jack-O-Lantern was defeated.

Finally the team reached Director Nova. "Time for celebration" Director Nova shouted. He walked over to the giant cooler/freezer, where BADGE stores food supplies for emergencies. Opened the door and walked out with 4 cases of black and orange colored beer. While the team and the robots had their Halloween party, Director Nova revealed his real name is Shadow Knight. He went on to explain that a war is arriving soon, all leagues must prepare for the storm.
