Ace stood on one side of the locker room entrance, while Krystal stood by the other.

As the bruised members of LoS filed past, many heads hung low in defeat.

As Ace followed the others inside, her face was grim.

Since Krystal had been with the team since nearly the beginning, she stepped to the head of the room since Ace showed no sign of wanting to speak.

"So... we weren't the leaders this round...", said Krystal. "... c'mon guys... these were The Avengers... granted not their top guys, but these guys are hardly second-stringers... Ace, you've only been in charge of the team a couple of weeks... it's just bad timing..."

"You others... at least we managed to go toe-to-toe with them... how many can say that The Avengers team couldn't back them down... we might have been beaten, but we have yet to be truly defeated... that only occurs if you don't stand up one more time than you got knocked down..."

"It's gonna get better... luckily, the hardest fight was the first this time... Stay the course, and we'll show them all what LoS is made of...".

While each of her comrades was bruised and somewhat grim, there was a renewed determination in their eyes.
