Gerri docked the Draconis Rex shuttle and exited the shuttle carrying a large book under one arm. She walked over to her father's office. He gabbed a pair of runic spectacles. Together they walked towards the Director's office. Her father wore a nondescript black suit. His blonde hair was beginning to grey. His glamour included facial hair, though elves didn't have beards. He liked the look of a well maintained goatee.
They found Director Nova on the command deck. "Director Nova," Gerri started, "may we speak to you in private?"
"Sword of Gerraxia, Cordell, we're in the middle of searching for Chase. Can this wait?" Director Nova asked.
"Director, I know you are an extremely busy man, and there will never be a good time to do this," Gerri replied. "I just don't want anymore tension between you and Santa. You wanted to know why he asked me for help first. That's what we've come to reveal to you."
"You can't do that here?" Nova questioned. Gerri shook her head no. "Very well," Nova acknowledged. He led them to his office. Cordell shut the door behind them. Director Nova took a seat and offered the two to sit down. Gerri declined, she was very nervous. "So, why did Santa ask you instead of coming to BADGE?"
"Well, it has to do with my ancestor, Gerraxia Goldestar," Gerri began. She set the Tome of Elvish Lore on his desk and Cordell placed the runic spectacles on top. "Santa knew he could trust me because of my lineage. I'm actually named after my great grandmother Gerraxia."
"She was an elf hero?" Director Nova questioned.
"Chapter ten is where her story begins," Gerri stated. She and her father dropped their glamours. "We're elves. If you turn to page seven hundred thirty, I think you'll find Gerraxia's final story. A monster she fought for Santa, who is reffered to as Lord Claus. She defeated the monster, but also died. I think this monster has something to do with what Krampus is up to."
She was about to restore her glamour when someone swung open the door...
"Swords are for fighting."
