" Hey neighbor , I'm really glad you're back ! that duck of yours has  been quacking non- stop all day!"
 "What duck?" asked Mr. Liberty." I don't have a duck Miguel."

" Well something is making quite" the racket in your apartment"

"Then we better go check it out. " Mr. Liberty said as he grabbed Miguel and flew to the roof. The two men rushed thru the access  door and down the flight of stairs to Liberty's apartment. The noise was coming from a rubber duck sitting on a bookcase. The duck was facing the back wall and was vibrating slightly as it quacked.

"That's making all this racket? Where did you get it?"
"I found it during the Great Clean-up " replied Liberty as he picked up the duck and turned it around to show Miguel the three eyes on it.
" Homely little thing ..." Miguel started to say when the duck let out a loud QUACK! and spun around facing the back wall again.
"Maybe we should take it outside and see what happens." Liberty suggested.
Back on the roof the duck started quacking faster and louder as it turned towards the park.
"What's the matter ducky, Timmy fall in the pond?" asked Liberty.
"QUACK!" replied sternly.
"Mabey you should take him to the park, there could be trouble." suggested Miguel."
"You're right let's go!"
" OH NO Not me, one flight a day is enough!"
" Okay be that way, ready ducky?"
QUACK!!
  Liberty flew off towards  the park with the duck quacking constantly the entire flight. The park looked beautiful from his perspective, the trees were mostly changed into their fall colors. As Liberty got closer to the park he noticed a faint glowing line on the ground.

"Is that our destination pal?" he asked the duck. His answer was a series of energetic quacks. After he landed Liberty noticed the line was a pathway lined with glowing rubber ducks. Ahead at the end of the path the air seemed to shimmer.
 " We're heading in there I take it?"
 "QUACK QUACK!"
"Okaayy, I just hope this isn't  like the Night Train incident." Liberty  mumbled as he walked forward.
 As he stepped thru the portal the air went from crisp to dry and arid. The park was replaced by a swamp with dried or drying puddles and dead plants all around the pathway forward. When he turned around to check the portal , the duck jumped and turned in his hand to face the the path.
"QUACK QUACK QUACK!!!"
"Alright all ready just hold on, would ya?"
 Liberty moved ahead past a couple trees to find the largest rubber duck he had ever seen. The duck looked just like his duck except it was twenty foot tall and four eyes in a diamond pattern. The huge duck was sitting in a shallow pond of water glaring down at him.
"WELL  WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE", boomed the giant duck. " AN OUTSIDER WITH ONE OF MY WAYWARD SUBJECTS."
"quack!"
"Hush!"
" INTERESTING.. THE OUTSIDER IS FULL OF USEFULL ENERGY, ENERGY I CAN ABSORB TO LEAVE THIS DRAINED REALM FOR ANOTHER, PERHAPS YOURS OUTSIDER."
"Over my dead body you over stuffed tub toy!"
"SO BE IT OUTSIDER!"  exclaimed as he started to inhale deeply. A slight green mist started to pull away from Liberty and flow to the giant duck.  Liberty could feel his energy start to ebb and fired off one big blast at the large beak only to see it be absorbed harmlessly.
"THANK YOU OUTSIDER FOR SPEEDING THINGS UP, PLEASE CONTINUE!"
"Come on think , think ,think." Liberty thought " If I can't blast him, maybe I can beat him down." Liberty  rushed the duck and started pounding on him to no avail. "NUTS! This is like pounding on an inner tube. Hey! that's it!"
" KEEP STRUGGLING OUTSIDER, I WILL TAKE YOUR POWERS ALL THE FASTER"
"Like thunder you will pal." Liberty reached for his 5th Precinct badge jabbing the pin deep into the giant duck's side.
"NOOOO!"
KABOOM- the explosion sent Liberty flying back thru the portal landing on his back in the park.
"Oh man that hurts." Liberty moaned . He looked to his left and found his ducky laying nearby.
"Hey little guy I see you made it back too. What say we head home for some R&R. Miguel never gonna believe this tale!"
"QUACK!" the duck happily replied.
