Silent Shadow's Origin or Silent Impulse

Silent Shadow
Greg Erikson walked to a Starbucks in New Amsterdam to meet his twin sister Shannon who was now working for B.A.D.G.E.  She had been trained as a spy like their father by M.I.6.  She was good.  Almost as good as Chase.  They both had blonde hair and green eyes, though Shannon's hair was considerably longer.  You could tell they were twins by their similar features, Shannon's being more feminine.  Greg was toned but had a slender build.  He always wore a turtle neck to hide the scar on his neck where a training accident took his voice all those years ago.  He currently had on khakis as well to break up his normal black attire.  The turtle neck was black.
Shannon was dressed as a typical B.A.D.G.E. agent.  Her long blonde hair cascading across her shoulders.  She smiled when she saw Greg enter.  It had been a few years since they last saw each other.  She watched him go to the counter and sign his order, a Chai Tea, of course.  The barista looked a little confused, so Greg pulled out his phone to write hid order in text.  Shannon walked over and stated, "He'll have a Chai Tea, Grande.  He's my brother.  You obviously don't know sign language."
"Oh, I didn't know he was deaf," the barista said.  Greg scowled.
"I'm not," Greg signed, "I'm mute."
"Calm down, Greg," Shannon stated.  "Most people think that's the same thing."  She looked at the barista whose nametag read Tiffany.  "The name for the drink is 'Greg'."  They walked back to their table.  Shannon gave him a hug before they sat down.  "I missed you, brother."
"I missed you, too," he signed.  He made sure to seat her and bow before sitting.  He had been raised in Japan, while she was raised in England.  Their parents hadn't divorced they just had a legal snafu when the children were two years of age.  Their mother was of the Ainu, a Japanese native, their father English.  Their mother enrolled Greg in a ninja academy before the legal problems were resolved and got him a student visa in Japan to remain for his training.  His parents visited quite often.
While he trained the accident that took his voice occurred and after that he began to use the shadow abilities that the elders used.  He trained in the shadow techniques and became quite efficient.  He missed his sister dearly, though.  They kept in contact over their cell phones or computers but it wasn't the same.  The holidays were the worst to be separated.
"So, are you going to tell me how you become a shadow?" Shannon quizzed.  "That would come in handy in my line of work."
"Sure," Greg signed.  he then made some hand gestures and went shadow form.  Shannon tried to copy the movements and nothing happened.
    "It didn't work," Shannon stated.
Greg silently laughed, "That's because I can't just show you.  You have to be trained," he signed as he took his regular form again.

"That's not funny, Greg," Shannon scowled at him.
"Sure it is," Greg signed.  "You need to learn how to focus your chi to become a shadow, use shadow clones, shadow teleport, or create the darkness my ninja training has taught me.  Spies don't learn to focus their chi."
"I've seen morphon enhanced people use shadow clones, maybe all of you ninjas just have the same morphon abilities," Shannon pouted.
"Doubtful," Greg signed  "We've been using these abilities for centuries.  You could always check."
"That's true," Shannon agreed, "we have the tech for that."  She began to pull out the device when there was a large explosion outside.  She scanned him quickly and saw he had no Morphon Particles.  She was fast.  "We need to see what's going on."
They both dashed outside to see Impulse of the Legion causing terror to the people.  "Fools, do you think you can defeat the Legion?  Will will destroy you and take your best warriors to continue to conquer.  Submit to us and live or fight and die."
"I've got to call this in, Greg," Shannon stated.  "Maybe B.A.D.G.E. can send a hero."
"I can handle this," Greg signed.  "Call if you must but get people to safety."  He went shadow form.  he moved behind Impulse took his normal form and clocked her across the jaw before flipping over her and summoning shadow clones to clock her again.  The clones disappeared.
"How dare you," She fired a blast at him.  He dodged by teleporting through shadows.  If he were in his ninja gear he'd have thrown some stars at her.  Instead he used his shadow clones and shadow form to get close to her and just strike pressure points to bring her down.  The whole fight was over in minutes.
Shannon ran over to Greg, "That was incredible," she stated.  "She's going to be real upset when she finds out you have no Morphon powers."
"Who is this new hero?" Director Nova asked.
"Oh, Director Nova, this is my brother Greg," Shannon introduced.  Greg bowed.
"Honorable Director," Greg signed, "you may call me Silent Shadow."
"We could use you at B.A.D.G.E. either working for us or with us.  Give it some thought," Director Nova handed him his card.  Greg graciously accepted it and bowed again.
