THE ADVENTURES OF CAPTAIN MARVEL vol #2    We find our Hero laying on the trainers table in side the Area 51 headquarters.  He is covered in multiple ice packs.  Trying to remove a troublesome fang stuck deep in the heel of his foot.                                       .                                              .                    
  Wow that duels event  was vicious. I haven't seen that kind of action since League wars. All of this pain and effort for 5th place. In a duels event no less. "Oh" how the mighty have fallen! I'm just glad my Mentor Phoenix Frostbite was not around to see this.  His mantra of trample the weak and hurdle the dead has no bearing in this new realm of fighting.  Like the Phoenix leagues of old. Duels is what I was built and trained for. My build was not any good at unlimited and even worse in Brawls . But in duels it was my time to shine! Taking a fight to the 1000 round limit was rush very few got to experience. At the end of which whoever had the most life was declared the winner. Sadly in this realm my build style is not unique.  Where there once was but a handful of us. Now everyone's build is like mine, Or close to it.
   Dammmm Im doing it again. Comparing my old City to this new HR realm. I need to start looking at all the positives this new realm has. And there are many. In the old days my attack use to be like a death from a thousand paper cuts. But now if I connect with an opponent Something is either going to shatter or break. My glass jaw is gone. Replaced by  one of steel. No more one punch knock outs for this Hero. ( Suddenly our hero is snapped out of his day dream by a thunderous pounding on the door.) Wasssss up Cap ya bum. Hi Slayer. Are you going to lay in here all day? You are beginning to turn blue like a frozen pop cycle. I was just reminiscing about days gone by. Come on Cap lets do some sparring. What are you saying Slayer? You want your butt kicked by someone who looks like a blue Smurf on steroids? Ha! Cap if you can beat me I will buy you a beer. No Slayer. If I can beat you are buying me a pitcher! Your on Cap!
(FOOT NOTE) In the end it is not about the differences between this realm and the Super Hero City  one we once knew and loved . Its about the old friendships and the new ones we make along the way. This is truly what keep us coming back!
