Thankful for X: Collaborative Fiction Story -- Open to All

Madam Marvelous
Each of the heroes in Heroes Rising has to be thankful for something, whether it is their powers, teammates, or great spin on the Nova Mystery Shuffle. What is your character thankful for? Not just what are they grateful for, but how do they show that gratitude? How do they pay it forward to their families, friends, or communities?

This thread will be open for all of November. Add your stories of thankfulness below...

Krystal Fae - I am thankful for my league-mates... they have absolutely stood by/behind me ever since I joined.   My contributions to show my gratitude have been to include them in stories I wrote for the forum and in-game, and to provide MPs to the building of our HQ...

I am also thankful for my collaborators in the stories we have contributed to the forums...

I am thankful for my league-mates, both the good and evil.  I am grateful for the Pirates Cove to help us all become better heroes and players.

I am thankful for the great Halloween event, both from the Developers and the Players.  The developers gave us a great way to give back to the community, and the players responded with amazing gifts.  Us little guys appreciate the leg up.

Ah Thankfulness.  I suppose I have a lot to be thankful for.  Let's see...

I have my husband, Jeetaur.  We are healthy and still madly in love after all these years.

We survived the trip over to this dimension and so did our friends... in one form or another.

We have made all new friends here in New Amsterdam.  We have joined the Pirates Cove, a loose conglomerate of people working to make the world better.  I got to go to the Olympiad with that goofball Angelus and his new sidekick Madam Marvelous.  Oh geeze, can you delete the sidekick part?  She is frickan stronger than most of us.  We can't help but still feel protective of her though, even though she can damn well take care of herself.

I had so much fun in all the cool events we did this year.  We went Trick-or-Treating, which I haven't done in ages.  We participated in several League Wars, and did pretty well... sometimes...  I mentioned the Olympiad already, and that was new and cool.

I am looking forward to the Christmas time events coming up this year. I wasn't here for them last year, but Lykos was and he said it was a lot of fun.  Something about a gift exchange?  Sounds awesome; I hope they do it this year too.

So yeah, there has been a lot to be thankful for.  There has been some sadness this year too.. but that isn't what we are concentrating on right now.  Right now, we are celebrating the good.  The bad will have it's day again, I am sure, but for now, this weekend, let's focus on the good things.

Hey.. you did delete that sidekick comment right?  You did? ok... oh, and delete this part too.. ok, cool.

I am thankful not just for there to be Heroes Rising so we can enjoy gaming again as friends and friendly rivals too. I am also thankful for the friendships we make here or have brought from Superhero City in the past. Bonds like those are very hard to erase from memory no matter if some who played then no longer play or no longer are around anymore. Friends and family are needed to be thankful at this time of year so those suffering grief and heartache can have a friendly shoulder to lean on or a friendly smile to cheer them up.
