The Reckoning: Aftermath

    The Demon Jinn's form faded away before their very eyes, dissolving like a nightmare scattered when waking to morning's sunlight.
    A silent pause stilled the battlefield before a raucous cheer erupted from all around Bursa, Turkey.
    Starmaster chest ached for breath. After hollering alongside his heroic companions, he breathed in as much as his lungs would allow and released the air slowly.  The sensors of his suit flickered, drawing his attention to motion to his left. A group of the ghost demons approached a nearby cadre of rejoicing heroes from behind.
    "It's not over. Defend yourselves!"
    Creating a psychokinetic barrier between the two parties, Starmaster moved in to engage the still-present enemy. Whether constructs of the Jinn's powers or extra-planar toadies to his will, these creatures would draw no more blood today.
    "What are you talking about?" One of the heroes asked as she whirled about and sniffed the air as she tilted her head up back as a wolf would. "There's nothing there."
    The barrier Starmaster erected only slowed the ethereal creatures. As the woman finished speaking, three of the ghost demons forced their way through and continued charging her grouping.
    "Aw, $%#^," the woman barked as she dropped to all fours, her body shifting until becoming a large black-furred wolf-woman hybrid.
