What's on the horizon?

A few weeks ago, I posted a question on the Heroes Rising Players page asking what players would like to see MORE of in the game. I appreciate the comments left by everyone. Now that the Jinn story arc and the Demon Jinn raid have both completed, I've had a chance to take a look at the responses and share some of them with you.

The answers I received varied along two major lines. Newer enthusiasts and those who played the game in previous incarnations. Each group had thoughtful suggestions, but as always some held more potential than others.

One comment that drew an interesting response was made in reference to being able to upgrade leagues. Upgrades that stayed with the league to enhance the roster of members. Nick Shapirocommented "coming soon" to this suggestion. What the exact details are at this time and when they might be executed weren't mentioned, but this does indicate the game developers have something interesting in store for us.

Other comments that stood out were:
--More options for grinding or ways other than one-shot items to increase energy or battle recover time
--Greater variety in gear choices dependent on character level
--A ladder-format Champions Tournament
--More Achievements, such as completing a set number of battles a day or reaching certain levels.
--Monthly Major Events
--Better equality in the Fight Clubs, offering choices by divisions similar to the current KOTM events

One suggestion that caught my eye was a League War with randomly generated teams.

As it is, we have seen the developers put some great work into the game in recent days. The new ability to see powers displayed in the training tabe based on currency cost has been very popular. There are two new cards available, one in the shuffle (The Floor is Lava) and one purchasable for crystals (Ice Age). Is there an upcoming Elemental theme approaching???

Hero Rising author and artist Dan Peyton has posted a Fan Art event, where you can color several yet unpublished sketches he has created for the game. Enter as much as you would like, but each player can earn a Good Job Power Card for up to three different entries. The submissions will also be judged for a potential limited Special Edition Power Card. Be sure to check out Dan's post on the Heroes Rising Players page.

Finally, don't forget to keep writing your collaborative Fan-Fiction stories. These entries can also receive rewards when posted in the Fan Fiction forum of the These City Streets blog site.

Happy July, people. Maybe we will see some more opportunities for the Pyrotechnic Force card for the 4th.
