 Krystal was taking a few days off.

She wasn't expecting any trouble for once, but out of habit, she wore her wrist comm, just in case.

A somewhat mechanical voice interrupted her videogame...

"Badge HQ to Agent Fae, repeat, Badge HQ to Agent Fae...please respond...".

"This is Fae, over...".

"Please hold for Agent Gar...".

"Agent Fae...", began the voice, "...Director Nova has asked me to bring you in to discuss a special assignment... could you be here tomorrow at 10 AM?"

"Of course..."

"Thank you... Gar out..."

I wonder what that is about, mused Krys, as she resumed her videogame.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day, at Badge HQ-
"Good morning, Agent Fae. They are expecting you... go right down..."
As the elevator sped down the hundreds of feet, the newly implemented security scans were deployed.
"Biometrics matching... confirmed...
 Morphon Profile Matching... confirmed...
 Welcome, Agent Fae, you are cleared for access..."
"Good morning, Agent Fae, please wait here one moment... Agent Gar has been summoned."
"Good morning, Agent Fae...", said Gar as he approached.
"Please, call me Krystal... good morning...", replied Krystal.
"He's in Conference Room 2... I think... yes, he just signaled that he is finished with the call he was taking and is ready for your appointment."
"What is this all about, Gar?", asked Krystal.
"Not my place to say...", Gar replied as they covered the distance, "... best go on in."
Krys shrugged and knocked once.
"Enter."
At one end of a conference table loaded down with electronic padds, sat a harried-looking Director Nova.
"Glad you could make it on such short notice, Agent Fae-", started Nova.
" It has become clear that to defend this world from the Legion, we're going to have think 'outside the box' as it were..."
"Since you have shown a great deal of innovative talent in both your production of new technology and your handling of personnel, we'd like you to undertake the design, building, and shakedown of a prototype vessel that could be used, in conjunction with planetary based defenses and personnel, to defend this world..."
"Can you do this?"
"I'll need full access to all current earth-based technology, including everything being researched here at B.A.D.G.E."
"Obviously...", stated Nova.
"I'll need access to the personnel files of every scientist, engineer, and B.A.D.G.E. Agent available, and be allowed to recruit freely."
"Well, I can't let you strip us bare, but I'll see what I can do.", Nova rumbled.
"If and when a ship is produced, I get to pick my crew, and lead them, at least through the shakedown phase...", stated Krystal firmly.
"Then, you'll do it?", Nova said hopefully.
"Let's see what I can come up with before we finalize anything...", stated Krystal.
"Done... and good luck, Agent... I'll have Gar prepare those files for you.", said a very relieved Director.
"Ok, No. X-10962... read that back to me please.", said Krystal.
"Very well, Agent Fae.", the communications robot replied.
"Those personnel on the following contact list here appended are requested and required to be present at B.A.D.G.E. HQ, auditorium 3,  for a briefing concerning a special assignment... please arrive on time on the following date..."
The robot displayed the remainder of the text, including the list of names of the agents and UES personnel that Krystal was requesting.
"Please send this out to those personnel outlined for contact.", said Krystal.
"Very well, Agent Fae... will that be all?", asked the robot.
"For now.", replied Krystal.
"Okay Krys... you got this... Director Nova wouldn't have put you in charge if he wasn't sure you could handle it...", Krystal muttered to herself.
Krystal stood off-stage in auditorium 3 as Director Nova gave his usual blend of gruff, but somehow affectionate, statement of purpose and call to action. (at least that was Krystal's perception at the time.)
"Now, without further ado, I will turn you over to the agent selected to head up this vital project...
Krystal Fae... Good Luck, everyone...", said Nova in closing.
Krys took a deep breath to settle herself, put a serious, determined look on her face, and stepped to the podium...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Okay...", Krys muttered to herself as she settled in to review the files on her candidates, "..., I have a pretty good idea who I want as officers on the ship, and who I'll need on the R &D team... just need to review the B.A.D.G.E. recruitment files on my choices one more time..."

The Time of Greatest Need: Pendragon's Origin, and his fisrst meeting with MaggieW
For As long as I can remember, I had always been fascinated with heroes…the more fantastic, the better. Whenever I watched or read about those people who went the extra mile in order to help those in need, I wasn’t just there with them...I was them. The knight in shining armor, the spaceship pilot and of course the superheroes...those amazing characters who, for whatever reason, were gifted with so many incredible abilities.
Some were born with their powers, while others worked hard, training their bodies and minds to face whatever challenge arose, while others had proven themselves to the cosmos and, having done so, were endowed with their super gifts. However they came into being, these defenders of humanity in their bright colors, flowing capes and and good deeds always captured the heart of the child I was, but also the child still deep inside me today. As thrilling as it was to see a hero swoop in and pick up a car, or save a cat from a tree...fight off evil attackers with bolts of lightning and waves of magical energy….what really stuck with me, until this very day, was how the heroes would never give up, no matter what they were facing.
Now, I am far from an angel….even though I try to be a good person, and do what is right, sometimes I make mistakes. I am only human...or, I think I am still human…

While on a simple shopping trip, I found a small, used book store.  Indulging in my love of books, I decided I had to stop in. Before me, there was a vast ocean of adventures, places and people, just waiting to be discovered, or revisited by me.  After an uncertain amount of time perusing the stacks, I came upon a find. A leather bound book, with intricate gold letters along the spine. I drew it from the shelf and examined the front cover. “Arthur of Camelot” was written out in the same golden letters, embossed into the surprisingly soft leather.
I decided I could not pass up this treasure, so I brought it to the older woman at the counter, waiting while she finished talking on the phone. Once she finished her phone call, she apologized for making me wait, which I replied it was no problem.
After maxing out a credit card that I had sworn to myself, was only for emergencies, and having a short, but pleasant conversation with the woman behind the counter, I gathered up my purchase, and decided to return home.
Once there, I took a few moments to put away the few other items away, before settling down to examine more closely, my literary find. I was already wondering what differences, subtle or bold, this retelling of the Arthur legend, I would find.
I gently opened the cover and there, on the first page, was a beautiful sketch rendering of the Sword in the Stone, softly accented with similar gold leaf as was used on the cover. I slid my fingers over the picture, feeling that it was not just drawn, but embossed onto the page. In rich, bold lettering above the image the caption “...in the time of the land’s greatest need…”
Then everything exploded in a bright, golden light, which both burned and relieved...comforted and hurt….then I fell into darkness.
When I awoke, I laid there, trying to make sense of everything. Why was I laying on the floor….why did my head hurt…..why did I feel like I had been set on fire. I sat there for an unknown amount of time, trying to take mental stock of what had happened, arguing with myself if, indeed, what I thought had happened, actually did  or  more likely, I had had a very strange dream.
I finally stood up, seeing the book on the floor, not far from where I had found myself. I reached down, carefully closing the cover, picked it up and placed it carefully on the coffee table. My gaze lingered on the dark leather cover...something seemed different, but I could not figure out what it was. With a shrug, I decided to go to bed. I had no idea how long I was unconscious, but I still felt tired. I took a quick check, to see if there had been any injuries. Finding none, and not feeling any pain other than a mild headache, I climbed under the covers and went to sleep

I was pulled from a deep sleep, by the unrelenting “BLAAT BLAAT BLAAT” of my alarm clock, leaving me with no memories of any dreams, if there had, in fact, been any. After a time, I stood, stretched and ran my fingers through what I was certain was a crop of messy hair, before I made my way to the bathroom….it took a moment to realize, something felt different. I could not place what it was. All I knew was, I felt good...better than I had for sometime. I felt energized….almost, dare I say….tingling.
I made my way to the mirror….there I saw the same face looking back at me, the way it had every morning….it had not changed, but, it looked leaner, more defined. It was then that I realized, my whole body felt more defined, more solid. I looked the same. I did not have massive muscles bulging all over the place, but everything felt solid, as if I had been rebuilt using all new, stronger material.
And the tingling grew into almost a subtle buzz, not that could be heard, but felt, running through all the nerves in my body. I felt as though I were filled with energy and my body adapted to accommodate. Even though I felt more solid, more durable, my movements felt more fluid. I was still me, but a better version of me….maybe even the best version of me there ever was.
I had to get out, get some air, clear my head…..prove to myself this was not some delusion,,,that I had not somehow lost my mind. I got cleaned up and dressed, made sure I had what I needed, and went out onto the sidewalk, opting to walk, instead of drive. It was a beautiful Sunday morning in May, perfect for a walk.
I barely noticed what was going on around me, my mind fixated on my apparent metamorphosis, trying to make sense out of something that made no sense, whatsoever. It had been quite a few years since I had partied, and even then, I never used anything psychedelic...at  least, not that I was ever aware of...I had not injured my head, to the best of my knowledge. There was no soreness to indicate I had done any damage. Possibly some sort of a stroke? I remember reading somewhere online, about some simple tests you could do, to see if maybe you had had a stroke, but I could not remember any of them. My balance felt normal…..better than normal, in fact. I had never felt quite so certain of my movements.
It was all so strange...amazing, but very strange.
I had gotten so wrapped up in my introspection, I almost missed my destination, a tiny little Mom and Pop diner, known simply as “ Good Eats”
Mom and Pop, better known as Elaine and Chuck, had been married about thirty-five years, dated ten years before that. They  had one daughter, Charlotte, who lived on the west coast. She was married to a high school science teacher, Michael , and had given them twin grandchildren, a boy and a girl, Russell and Rachel. Anyone who came into “Good Eats,” heard something about these people. Anyone who returned, if the lunch rush was not too hectic, learned all about them. It was a great place, from a simpler time. Regulars were family and everyone was welcome.
I sat down in a booth and waved to both of them. They waved back. Elaine added a raised finger, to tell me she would be free as soon as she could. Besides myself there were two older gentlemen sitting at the counter, arguing politics and a young couple a two tables away from me, taking turns trying to get their little girl to stay seated and eat her pancakes. The young lady was far more interested in Chuck’s large, colorful aquarium, set up along the wall opposite the entrance. She would try to point at the different fish as they swam by her, causing her to laugh and squeal. Her parents would try to get her attention back on her food, while glancing around to silently apologize. I smiled back at them, hoping they would understand I found it amusing and that I was not upset. I could not speak for the elderly gentlemen and I was pretty sure Chuck and Elaine did not mind the sound of a child laughing.
It was then that the diner was rocked, as if in an earthquake. Dishes fell in the back, the water in the aquarium sloshed and sprayed all over. The little girl’s laughter instantly became a terrified shriek. Through the cracked windows, we all witnessed our first Morphon powered villain.
It was a little taller than a regular sized person, possibly seven feet tall, with dark grey skin that almost resembled slate. There were what looked to be the tattered remains of clothing, hanging off its body, as though it had once been a person, but instantly erupted into this behemoth. It was thrashing around the street, smashing cars and causing damage to the buildings, terrorizing everyone around. The most disconcerting part was, it seemed to not just enjoy what it was doing...it seemed to revel in it.
I moved from the booth, and made my way first to the young couple, helping them and their daughter behind the counter, in hopes they would find some measure of safety there, then I helped the older gentlemen back with them. Before I joined them, I saw something else through the window..a dark haired woman, bathed in some sort of purple energy, trying to confront the beast while other people on the street ran. She was trying to give them time to get to safety.
The police were there also, barking  orders into bullhorns and firing at the thing, to no avail. It just laughed, making a sound resembling nails on a chalkboard. The thing would just reach down, grab a handful of pavement and throw it at either one of the police officers, or the dark haired woman.
One of its projectiles found its mark, knocking the woman to the ground. She lay still for a time as the thing lumbered toward her, reaching out to grab a sign post as it drew closer. I could not see her moving as the thing clomped ever closer, its rocky voice cackling in glee at the prospect of using the newly obtained weapon on its helpless target. There was slight movement from the woman, but it did not look like she would recover enough to avoid the oncoming attack.
The buzzing inside me raged like a hive of angry bees. Before I truly realized what I was doing, I was out the door, oblivious to the shouts from inside the diner. I ran at the beast, not thinking, just knowing I had to get to it before it attacked again. As it raised the makeshift ax above its head, laughing at its impending triumph and ignoring the rain of bullets that bounced off its skin, I launched myself at it, catching it mid swing and carrying the both of us away from the woman.
We both tumbled down the street, slamming into car and store fronts. Thankfully the police had gotten people off the street. Hopefully anyone left in the building were going to stay where they were. We returned to our feet as it became apparent, I had just made myself this thing’s new target. Having lost its weapon in the tumble, it instead swiped at me with a back hand swing. It moved quickly for something apparently made from stone. It missed me, but not by much, as I felt the breeze of the attack on my face
Deep inside me, my little voice of reason was screaming, asking what I thought I was doing facing this thing that laughed at bullets and seemed to live for  destruction. Amazingly it had not been able to hit me. It was focused on me, giving the woman a chance to recover, while I was able to side step its flailing limbs, which only seemed to enrage this thing even further. It raised its limbs over its head, locking what I can only assume were once fingers together, lamming down in hopes to crush my skull. I threw up my arms, instinctively and to my surprise, caught the thing’s arms, halting its attack. I could not read any facial expression on its mineral-like features, but I think it was as shocked as I was, by what I had just done.
To further both of our astonishment, I shoved the thing backwards, sending it toppling several yards. I didn’t have time to think who was the most surprised..myself, it or the police officers and few other people watching us. In moments it was back on its feet, reaching for another weapon.
Grabbing the remains of a minivan, the creature hurled it, not towards me, but at the diner. I had no idea if the other had gotten out. If not, they would be killed and I didn not know if I could get to them in time to save them.
It was then I heard a groan, as if someone were exerting a great effort. The projectile stopped in mid air, enveloped by a purple aura. It hovered for a moment before flying back toward the beast.
Then, as the minivan was just about to hit the monster, the energy inside me exploded. Without thought I leveled  my hands at the beast and felt something shoot forth, an energy that slammed into the beast at the same moment the van hit it. The monster flew back, crashing into the wall behind it, by the duel attack. For several long moments, the silence was deafening. I held my breath, watching to see if it were dead, not knowing if something like that could actually die. Time seemed to stand still as I waited. Finally I dared to look away, scanning the destruction until I saw the dark haired woman. She too watched, apparently hoping it was over. She appeared to be alright, minus a wound on the side of her head. She was standing there, exhausted from her effort. I understood how she felt, though still no idea how I was able to do these things.
She looked over at me and smiled. I smiled back and waved. I was going to move toward her when a tremendous roar came from above. At the same time we heard the scrape of metal as the minivan slid away from the wall, and there it stood, apparently unsteady on its feet. It raised its arms over its head and began to howl, when brightly clad figures came down the street and out of the sky to surround it. They all took varying defensive poses, ready for whatever would happen next. I didn’t see exactly how it happened, but the thing was ancases in a blue bubble of light, which lifted it into the air. No matter how hard it struggled, it could not get out of its prison. The heroes took their captive and exited the scene in a variety of  ways, flying, speeding and disappearing, to name a few.
I made my way to the dark haired woman, who had slumped down to sit on a large chunk of rubble.
“Are you ok?” I asked, my voice dry and rough
She nodded, “I will be. Thank You”
“Thank YOU,” I said “ I don’t know what I would have done, if you hadn’t been here”
She smiled at me
“Im Peter” I said, offering my hand, “ Peter Morgan”
She took my hand and replied, “ I’m Dr Maggie Lee. Very pleased to meet you”
“And I am very pleased to meet both of you,” boomed the voice from the imposing figure who had appeared next to us. He was tall, with white hair. He wore a black trench coat and what looked to be a high tech eye patch over his left eye.
“ I would like to talk with you both about the future, and your places in it.”

My name is Maggie,  Dr Maggie Lee MD  - actually there a few more sets of letters that follow, but those are the important ones to me.  I first became aware, while very young, that I seemed to possess a great deal of empathy, especially for the sick or injured.  It began with neighborhood animals, I always seemed to instinctively know what was bothering them, what was needed to lessen their suffering.  This ability grew over time.  I could not only tell how to make them better but could actually heal their ills with a thought.  I truly felt that the path of healing was where i should concentrate my studies.  After years of training and study i obtained my medical degrees and was licensed to practice in my home state.  I began my residency and one day off i decided to clear my head with a walk to the park nearby.  After sitting for a while i thought to head to the shops and nearing my destination was shocked when an overly large beast-like man dropped down onto the street and began to terrorize the neighborhood.  I stood stunned as he dropped his massive hands and broke the pavement into large shards.  These he then picked up and began heaving towards the support and police that had begun to gather.   I used my abilities and was able to think, for once, of destruction instead of healing.  I managed to slow the monster from its activities, but unfortunately, this focused his attention on me.  Just as I started to draw my power closer, he threw a chunk of the pavement at me and everything went black.   Minutes, or centuries later (i was too disoriented to know how long i had been out_ I spotted a great looking guy drawing the beast's attention from me and he proceeded to engage the villaneous thing.  He was so strong, he blocked to huge fists as they came down onto him and with a force I envied, he threw up his arms and the beastly thing flew backwards.  Not long after the monster regained his purchase and as he started towards the man once more, a group of persons dropped from sky and swooped from several points until the beast was surrounded and enclosed in some sort of aura that prevented it from moving or striking back.  Shouts went up from the people when they realized to danger was gone.  The man walked over to where i sat, still somewhat disoriented and dizzy.  He asked my name and gave me his and then extended a hand to help me up from the ground.  When i put my hand into his, i caught a faint buzz from him,  he was definitely more than a regular guy but little did i know that he would become so much more still.   For me at least.   Another man approached us wearing a long dark coat and one eye covered with a patch, he asked us to come with him and as we followed him something told me my life would never be the same.

"Congratulation, Jay. You have been selected to be Chief Engineer on the UES," Agent Fae rise his hand with a fist, " and I will just shorten that to Chief to make it easier."

"It will be an honor to serve under you for this endeavour," replied jwStrangerF with the fist bump. "For this assignment, I will need these people for the engineering crew."

"You already have it all picked out. Hmm, with Grant Stone as Lieutenant," mused Fae.

"Yes, Grant had rescued me before," stated Jay.

"Oh, do tell," the Captain prodded.

"It was over a year ago, I was leaving the Rainbow's Bar and walking toward a concrete bridge over the nearby river. Four assassins was sent by the Legion to terminate me. While walking over the bridge, they made their move. One fired a energy blaster which I reflected back with a shinning reflective pad to the second attacker simultaneously jumping into the river and throwing a blade-like device out. The device expand into an A.I. assisted quadcopter and hit the shooter with with poison. The third attacker hit me with a freeze ray as I was falling into the river.

Across the bridge, Grant Stone happened to be walking along. Noticing that it was an assassination attempt with kill directive, he shot the third attacker as he jumped forward and row behind a passing vehicle. Grant yelled, "Surrender yourself, I am with the Academy." The final attacker reply with a flame shooter which Stone swings away and blow away the final assailant. He hit the belt to activate the mini-jet pack he wears in his belt for emergency and flew under the bridge to drag a frozen body toward shore.

Grant click the mic, "I need the authority to come over to the bridge and one body for the med."

I woke up at the med ward in the Academy with Maggie looking over my vitals on the equipment. "He looks ok," Maggie quipped disappointedly while I was lying in a infrared and thermal heated bed. Then Grand Stone came over and introduced himself and outlined what had happen from his perspective. That is why I want him to be second in command of Engineering.

What has gone before:

I was an orphan at the age of four. My father (David Slade) was killed in the war (similar to the Mutant/Human conflict in X-Men with Morphon/non-Morphon)

and soon after my mother (Emily) overdosed on drugs. I was adopted and raised by my Uncle Greg (my father’s brother) and Aunt Nancy.

I have a younger sister Alexis (really my first cousin).

My first supernatural encounter occurred when I was eight. My maternal grandfather (Emily’s father) lived with us and during the early morning of the first

day of summer he passed away. A few days later as I walked down the hall to my bedroom I felt a chill in the air as my grandfather’s ghost appeared before me.

He was distressed and somehow I helped him pass to the other side.

New Stuff starts here:

One summer my friend Teri and I were down at the creek swimming hole. We decided to explore up the creek and we found the remains of an old native American camp.

We found many artifacts like arrowheads, utensils, and bowls. One artifact looked like a dream catcher. When I pick it up, I felt a strange tingling feel thru my

body. I dropped it but that feeling remained within me. After that my powers manifested in many ways, reading palms, prophetic dreams, and seeing a person’s aura.

I went to the University of Pennsylvania to study archaeology. During my junior year, Professor Marian Horan asked for volunteers for her Anasazi dig site

at Mesa Verde. It was at this dig site where I had my first encounter with the Legion.

We were already at the dig site. Professor Horan divided us into small groups and assigned us work sites. She would visit each group and critique our work. it was mid-morning when an odd sensation came over me. I stood up and looked at the Professor, she was looking up when an strange figure approached.

"TAKE COVER! IT'S THE LEGION" yelled the Professor.

Most of the students dropped their equipment and headed to the back of the cave. A few of us remained and moved toward the danger.

WATCH OUT! That's The Stygian and he has the power of the elements." said the Professor.

The Professor invoked a ritual that called several ancient beings to our defense.

The Stygian laughed and mocked the Professor "Your puny powers are no match for me." With a flick of his hand he sent forth a burst of air that knocked the Professor

to the ground.

That tingling feel returned and I felt a force pulling me to one of the dig sites. As I dug for whatever was calling me, the others attacked The Stygian, one chanted a spell and unleashed a fireball, another launched a digging trowel with great force.

"Brahhhahhahh! Your wish to die shall be granted." stated The Stygian as he faced the students and the ground began to shake..

The tingling grew stronger as I uncovered the artifact, not unlike a dream catcher, it was made with bone and gut string. When I touched it, 10,000 souls streamed thru my

consciousness. I staggered and fell to ground as my mind reeled with the rush of information.

The Professor continued launch attacks against The Stygian. The attempts by my peers seem futile and did not bother the Legion envoy.

When the my head cleared enough, I stood and somehow brought forth a beast that charged The Stygian. With him distracted the Professor was able to land several hits that caused him to flee.

As the Professor came to check our wounds, a loud booming voice "DIE, HUMANS, DIE"

The Professor turned "OH GOD! It's the NecroMech! He's magic and . . ." The magical blast flung her against a building wall. The others struggled to their feet as I ran to the Professor. She looked up at me and in her dying breath said "Save the students ... " she struggled to pull some keys out of her pocket and offered them to me. They fell to the ground as she died. I picked them.

Holding the bone and gut dream catcher, I did not focus on the NecroMech but the students. What happened next, I'm not sure, but somehow the NercoMech left us for dead.

It wasn't long before some people from BADGE arrived. They debriefed us and then transported the Professor dead body away.

A few days later we returned to Philadelphia, I went to the Professor's office, unlocked the door and went inside and to my surprise, a BADGE officer was waiting for me. Since that time, the Horan has guided me in my life journey and I'm still uncovering many of her secrets.

"Okay, that covers most of the crew/developers I'll need... hmmm... could still use a Science Officer once it's built, but till then, I'll just have to pull double duty."

These four will do for the design phase as team leaders and hopefully, they will continue as officers for the building and shakedown as well...", Krystal muttered to herself.

"Agent Gar, could you request a meeting with Agents Slade, Pendragon and Dr. Maggie Lee for 10 AM Monday?"

"Certainly, Agent Fae... what should I tell them will be the subject, and will anyone else be expected?", he replied.

"UES Engineer JwStrangerF will be there, but I'll contact him myself... The Subject will be building the defenses, specifically a new class of ship.", said Krystal.

"10962... get me UES Headquarters..."

Krystal arrived early for the meeting, and happen to notice EB trying to make a (for him, stealthy) exit from the Headquarters complex (meaning that he only stopped 4 times to hand chocolate eggs to agents)  and since Krystal was headed in the same direction, she followed along.

Meanwhile, for the first time since EBs arrival,  Fleagle exited the elevator into the complex.

***sniff...sniff****

Fleagle knew that smell, and he knew what he had to do...

BAROOOO!!!

As EB changed direction quickly and fled to the conference room where Director Nova was waiting for the team members for the defense project to arrive, EB burst into the room and cowered behind Nova's leg.

BAROOOO!!!

Fleagle was swiftly approaching the doorway to the conference room at a run... Krystal had to think quickly.

Krystal drew on a Fae ability which she had never used in this dimension before... she could only hope it worked normally here.

From where Krystal had stood a moment before, a calico cat now darted up the hallway.

As Fleagle burst into the conference room, Krys-cat leaped and swatted him deftly on the nose, then leaped through the doorway herself.

As Fleagle gained on his furry adversary, Nova's face turned an ever-darkening shade of red...
 finally, Nova could take it no longer.

After seeing Fleagle bounce of a bubble field surrounding the cat for the third time, Nova turned and silently stalked from the room as the other heroes cringed...

The door slid silently shut behind him.

 Moments later, the hallway exploded into gales of loud laughter...

Re: Collaborative Fan Fiction: Building Our Defenses- UES Dreamcatcher

Krystal Fae (Acidburn)
Administrator
Now that Krystal had her staff sorted, she began the process of designing and building the technologies they would need.

"This blasted thing is gonna be the size of a Legion dreadnaught...", she groaned.

"Wait... I have an idea... I wonder..." she muttered.

She brought up her office at BADGE HQ on her computer at her apartment.

"10962, access Criminal archives...", said Krystal.

"Working...subject?"

"Prisoner 34A-2056..."

"Working... state target date or event..."

"Power origin..."

"Working... file available... access commencing..."

Bryan Bellamy

~~education~~ Ph.D., Experimental Physics- MIT
~~last employer~~    Exponential Acceleration, Inc. (EA)
~~origin of powers~~ Accidental exposure to Dimensional Phasing technology
~~Crime~~            Sale of proprietary technology

~~Victim~~           Exponential Acceleration, Inc.

~~Case Notes~~

While employed by the victim, Bellamy developed a prototype hyperspatial engine... exposure to the Morphon flux produced in a test of the said engine gave Bellamy the ability to access higher dimensions with no need for equipment...it is theorized that said exposure also had profound physiological and psychological effects on Bellamy.

Bellamy took the prototype engine and sold it to a criminal organization, despite having a spotless prior record.

"Interesting..." muttered Krystal as she settled down to read the full case file.
