Gerri had returned to her Colorado home to talk with her father. This was important because it didn't just affect her, but her whole family and even family friends. Everyone of the families that guard the gates. She couldn't just out them all. Santa and EB had stated she could tell Director Nova in confidence, he would keep the secret, but she rarely saw him alone.
She looked at her father and sighed, "Dad, do you think I should tell Director Nova I'm an elf?" Her eyes pleaded him to tell her yes or no. He embraced her.
"I can't tell you what to do, Gerri," he stated. "You already informed your league and they have kept the secret. I can tell you the Director is an honorable man. You have to decide if you should tell him."
"If I tell him, it will out you and the rest of our family and probably the Keebler's," she weighed the information. "Do I have the right to out them and possibly put them in danger?"
"I work for him, too," he said. "Would it help if I came out with you?"
"It would but this is a hard decision," Gerri looked at her ring. "It's not like we're telling the world. Just the Director."
"Who else knows?" he asked.
"Krystal Fae, she saw right through the glamour," Gerri admitted. "Gargoyle does. He's a Mythic. He can see through the glamour, too."
"Then I don't see the harm in telling the Director," He agreed.
She grabbed the Tome of Elvish Lore, "I think he'll need to see this, so he knows we have a job to do here."
"Swords are for fighting."
