While they looked upon the mutated by Morphons Red Cap that has chosen the name Redd Capp. Gerri, her father, and her boyfriend James Keebler try to assess what they can do. They've seen Redd Capp move buses breath fire and now throw a dumpster at them. Gerri acted instinctively and errected a force bubble around them to keep them safe from the hurling dumpster.
"How did you do that, Gerri?" James asked. She looked a little mystified by the question.
"I'll tell you later. Right now we need to stop this creature," Gerri reminded him. Her father started by drawing the trap runes on the ground. He encouraged James to do the same. That left Gerri to draw Redd Capp to the trap.
"Oh, I love these new powers!" Redd Capp exclaimed. "Now Morgothan will kneel before me and not the other way around." Redd Capp separated his arms above his head and released a large ball of yellow flame towards the three.
Gerri imagined the rune of absorb and found she could absorb the energy. It was incredible.
"No fun! No fair!" Redd Capp hissed. "You were supposed to be incinerated, not absorb the fire ball."
"Is Morgothan your Red Cap General?" Gerri asked. This would be transferred to the other side of the fairy ring and to the proper authorities on that side. "Is he awaiting your return?"
"Maybe?" Redd Capp replied. It was obvious he didn't want to get his leader in trouble in the other realm. "It doesn't matter. I'm not going back now." He threw a parked car at her. James pulled out a cookie from his bag and inscribed the rune Shield on it. He threw it in front of Gerri and it grew large enough to stop the car though it crumbled as soon as the car was stopped. Redd Capp laughed.
"Thanks, James," Gerri smiled. Redd Capp ran at extremely high speed and slashed James across the torso. James doubled over and collapsed to the ground. "James!" Gerri screamed as she ran to his side.
"Now, he's no fun," Redd Capp laughed. Elf blood dripped from his claws. He licked one of the claws. "Yum, tasty." This angered Gerri.
"You," she started. "You come here and begin to transform. Use your new found abilities to wreak havoc. Endanger the lives of innocents, and hurt my boyfriend. You're done now." Redd Capp's expression changed from glee to fear as Gerri stepped forward.
"Uh-oh," Redd Capp began, "I should be going now, Morgothan wants report." Redd Capp turned and tried to walk away. Gerri used haste and got in front of him. She used a sweeping kick to knock Redd Capp to the ground.
"You're not going anywhere," Gerri stated. The green flames enveloping her. She used her kick boxing skills. Jabs and punches as well as kicks. She finally knocked Redd Capp unconscious. She moved him into the trap as B.A.D.G.E. arrived.
"We'll take it from here," said an older gentleman who introduced himself as Director Nova. "That was very impressive, young lady. What shall we call you?"
"The Sword of Gerraxia," Gerri said as she looked at her ring.
"Well, we could use you at B.A.D.G.E. You don't have to join, but we would like it if you'd work with us. Your friend James will be fine, and Mr. Star has agreed to help us with rune reading. He knows quite a bit about different runes," Director Nova stated.
"Thank you, I'll think about it," she already had a costume designed in her head.
"Swords are for fighting."
